once there was a famous musician working in the Power Station Studios, NY- he heard the recordings of a 20 year old gofer who worked there and said "boy- you'll never make it"- the famous musician was bruce springsteen and the gofer jon bon jovi

(not sure if this is 100% true- but i read it in a biography)
