Default Working during the holidays

Well, who is?

I sort of need cold comfort to see I'm not alone. It sucks. This is my first year working at Christmas and it's terrible. This morning the underground was deserted and I only had one call. Plus my boss is on holidays so I'm all alone - and cold - at the office.

And to make matters worse, my boyfriend is coming here next week - which is still considered Christmas around here - and my boss hasn't even given me a day off (she owed me one). And I'm so mad about that

Anyway, all of you out there, speak up and let's support each other.

Well, the majority of my friends have been off since around 22nd-23rd of December and dont actually have to go back until 3rd-6th January, which in my opinion, I think is a fantastic break, lots of time to spend time with family and friends and still actually get paid for it...

Me personally however have four days off over the Christmas Period and a further four days off over New Year. Although I got a text message from my manager yesterday who told me that I can have another yay off this week, which was fabulous! I now only have to work Thursday and till 1.30pm on Friday, so One and a half days work in a 10/11 day period is pretty good. Im relatively pleased, but it still sucks that the majority of my family and friends have longer off.

Been working through the holiday's also. PetSmart is a retail store so you can imagine the craziness there! It's been stressful and fun at the same time.
