You mean people get time off for the Holidays??? Hmmmm....gonna' have to talk to my boss about this.

Seriously though, I work in retail, so no time off at the Holidays for us. I am fortunate that I work in Human Resources (I'm the whole department, actually. LOL), so I at least don't have to deal with the morons out shopping. I am supposed to get an extra day off for Christmas and one for New Year's, but the woman who usually covers for me is out because her husband passed away at Thanksgiving. I can't complain though, at least I get the extra money.

My last day off today though. I sooo dont wanna go back to work now. I like my new job, but Id still rather sit at home and do nothing! Alot of my work is web-based anyway, so realistically I could work from home...I dont think my boss would allow it though

To make my wee even worse, we don't have hot water at home - and won't for a few days - so I have just washed my hair with extremely cold water and heated water. Awful

I'm also working but since my boss is not coming to the office, it is pretty quiet, I'm only catching up with all the pending and boring job I tend to postpone (filing, expenses, etc.). I hope I don't have to go on Friday.

Working in the holidays sucks. I did it 4 years in a row but now I have myself a new job which starts on the 9th of January. I managed to quit my old job on the 23rd of December too so it worked out well.
