Australia has its work cut out, being in Brazil's group. Croatia and Japan aren't exactly hack teams either, especially when you consider our modest footballing achievements.

Also, it's first game is against Japan the day after the Wembley show!! Busy times ahead, indeed. I could even end up at Southampton yet....

I'm going to have to disagree with all the England fans. Paraguay, Sweden and Trinidad and Tobago are easily beatable. Sweden won't be the most simple of games, but come on, it could have been a lot worse. We will top that group, no problem.

Times for the first matches were released today. According to ESPN.com, USA plays June 12 at noon vs. the Czechs in Group E in Gelsenkirchen.

Brazil will loose this cup only for Brazil.........if you know what I mean, maybe Argentina will make some trouble, I can't see any other capable team.

I think if the English want it bad enough, it's their's. Brazil's got a great team but I think there are at least a couple of teams out there with enough hunger to beat Brazil. England being one of them.

I don't know I just feel the English football team as I felt the English rugby team in 2003.

Argentina won't make it through the first round.

Yeah we're gonna kick their asses!

Or maybe not...

I think this is a great opportunity for Van Basten to show what he's really capable of with his team, it's a hard group for the Dutchies.

I don't think no way England can win it..... I'll be surpised if they even reach semi's.... I think this time some less seeded team gonna win....

i think on paper england have as much a chance as anyone of winning it i mean relativelyt speakign they have one of the best teams out there both in the back, in midfield and especially up front but they never seem to function as a team.

as opposed to scotland who tend to play like a team but we're full of shite players
