I don't fancy England against Germany. I think they look decent and they're always hard to beat. Ok it was a better performance against Slovenia, but come on if we can't play them off the park we don't deserve to be at the World Cup. As soon as we meet a decent team we're out and that's that. Lampard was awful and we had to rely on last ditch blocks and tackles to keep them out. We also spurned a lot of good chances, Rooney, Gerrard, etc. We haven't got what it takes to go all the way and that's that. Semi Finals would be a great achievement, but now I'd just take any sort of win over Germany.

We're 2-0 up against the Danes and I couldn't be more pleased. Last 16 should be beckoning now.

I think we have a good shout against the Germans this time round. I'd much rather face Germany than Ghana tbh as they play a similar style of football to us whereas the Ghanaians are extremely quick. We just need to start moving the ball a bit more fluidly and get rid of our need to take that extra touch to get the ball under control as it slows our play down too much.
Yes they should have got more goals and got nervy but they still held up their own. The way Germany played i think we have a good chance, Like you say Dawn they are a bit scary but not unbeatable. I feel slightly confident

If Germany have a really off day and England get their shit together they have a chance but if England play the way they've played in every game (even against Algeria which was still a pretty poor performance imo) Germany will steamroll them.

Capello needs to do something about Rooney. I wouldn't even have him starting against the krauts I'd probably go for Crouch and Defoe up front or Crouch with Heskey linking up behind him then bring Rooney on at half time if it wasn't working.

You can't keep playing a guy who might as well have stayed in England just because he's a big name.

That will be a good game, but I think Portugal don't really have enough quality players. I think you will go out I'm afraid. Shame really as you probably have the best prima donna as there's ever been.
