Capello needs to do something about Rooney. I wouldn't even have him starting against the krauts I'd probably go for Crouch and Defoe up front or Crouch with Heskey linking up behind him then bring Rooney on at half time if it wasn't working.

You can't keep playing a guy who might as well have stayed in England just because he's a big name.
Actualy i agree about Rooney. I think especaily after the last game Defoe is the man for the job. Looking forward to the game though.

Yeah i heard that but then isn't it the managers job to get ready for any eventuality?
BTW do any of you have any rituals you do before watching a game?

I've not been able to do it here but it usually goes something like:

Put shoes on (in any order)

Walk in a South Easternly direction for 5 minutes.

Take crisp £5 note out of wallet

Order alcoholic beverage

Sit

Drink

I dont think they would tell us if they hadnt been practising penalties, the press would have a field day and put more pressure on the team than they do already.
I also dont think dropping Rooney would be a bad idea. He,d be like a caged hungry lion if he was substitute and out to prove Capello wrong.

Whilst I agree, he should be dropped if under-performing, Rooney has to be treated carefully. His temperament means that he'll likely go into self-destruct mode if he feels aggrieved so an impact sub in his current frame of mind, he ain't.

I think he would take being dropped to the bench quite personally, not that Capello isn't afraid of doing it or wouldn't be right to do it but as one of our most creative players, it's important to keep his fiery persona focused on constructive efforts rather than (self) destructive.

I think he should start with Defoe as last time and stop dropping so deep to get the ball. If it's not working, bring either one of them off for Crouch IMO.

And I had to miss everything due to our judging time at the dog show. Seriously, who plans this and KNOWS when I have something else I'd like to do, too?
