yep , I think this did change our attitude and affect the players in a negative sense...

Tennis and NFL have play backs so we could do that ......

In general I have been disappointed by England, they didnt seem to have any heart and Lampard and Gerrard team just doesnt work...

Where was Rooney.... didnt seem to turn up...

Completely outclassed....

Maybe we need a young team with some heart not pound signs!

The officiating is a joke! I didn't think it could get any worse than it did earlier with Lampard's disallowed effort but how the hell was Tevez not given offside?!?

Love the fact it was shown on the big screen though and the sh*t that followed. You watch Sepp 'Twatflap' Blatter suddenly change his stance on using technology. How can you argue against it after today's games?

Awful again today.

Rooney has been terrible every game. I wouldn't of even started him.

And again another result that could be changed if the offside was given.... Shame.

I totally agree Tevez was offsite but how can you know the match could have been different? Maybe I saw another match but Mexico didn't do too much from their part in the 1st half apart from the ball that hit the goal post but then I didn't see too many clear chances, yes they improved and went for it in the 2nd. Anyway...

Now we'll play against the Germans again...Grrrrrrrrrrr!!!

It was a sequence of events, in the beginning of the match both teams were in the same level, than the offside goal came, the Mexicans got really nervous, than the defender's mistake came....than....

But you know, not that I'm really complaining, of course it was not something intentional. Sometimes this kind of situations just add more to the magic of the spectacle that is a football match. It has pain, anger, tears and happiness..... just magical !!

Exactly. The Mexicans were taking the game to Argentina and, in my eyes as a neutral, created the better chances. Then the goal happened and it threw the Mexicans' concentration. They were angry and rightly so but that meant they weren't fully focused on the game and I think that lead to the mistake for the second goal.

Two massive decisions in two separate games that completely influenced how the remainder of the games would have played out. Whether the end results would have been different, who knows but the Mexicans can feel slightly robbed of at least having the opportunity to play a 'fair' game of football.

It's bizarre how the officiating that started out so good in the early group games has suddenly gone AWOL. Look at the Kaka sending off too. An absolute disgrace.

So its the last minute of a Newcastle game which could decide a european place/Newcastle staying up,the same thing happens with a disallowed goal and it wouldnt bother you?

No, sorry. You misunderstood me. The goal-line technology bores me simply because I feel no measurement will ever be implemented to make the football world happy.

I agree that Lampard's effort should have resulted in a goal and the fact it didn't was a huge moment in the tournament.

However, referring to your comment about Newcastle...of course it'd bother me. It would bother me massively. Thing is, though, a similar incident occured for Newcastle in 2009 (goal disallowed for a non-existant push) which led to a loss on the penultimate day.

So yeah, in a way I can see how England fans feel.

*Reading my post again, yes, it's misleading compared to what I said in this post. Sorry for the confusion.
