if this is the free world then shouldnt someone be allowed to make loads of money and not share it? theres no obligation to share there money is there? yes it would be nice if they did but its not a crime if they dont is it?

it's not a crime in the legal sense. but what about the moral side?

After all, where do you think all that money comes from???

Do you think their respective employees worked any less hard???

True but this is the free world . Not that i agree with the amount that Bill has but he does have a right to his money after all it was his idea alone that made him this rich right?

I don't think this is what's been discussed. It was said that with the money of those 20 alone a lot of problems in the world could be solved - I cannot see how to disagree here. And then Jimbo asked in a weird or I-don't-know-what-sort-of mental state what good it would do. No one claimed those 20 would have to use all their money for noble deeds.

i'd save borussia dortmund from running bankrupt don't think it's too much fun having that much money- most of the ppl who pretend to be your friend are just after your money and i'd be in great danger of decaying: i would know that there's no need to work, i would buy a nice house, a fancy car (though i don't like fancy cars actually) and work nothing... and i'd end up like an extended version of will feeman (about a boy...)

Well, would be great if he pumped as much money as Abramovich into that crappy team which lost in the UEFA cup against Partizan Belgrad.

Well, Bill Gates co-founded "Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation" (http://www.gatesfoundation.org), a philanthropic organization.
Last year he donated his entire Microsoft stock dividend to this organization - 3 BILLION $.
