wot does OTE mean?

k ive been shifting through some job clasifieds and some stuff looks good and sounds like something i'd be great at and if the price is right i'd drop out of college u know but i don;t know what OTE means in the context.

for example one ad says blah blah blah blah blah trainee managers needed OTE £50K+


wots OTE stand for?

It means On target earnings. You get paid a basic salary, which is usually low, and the rest is made up of comission and bonuses, depending on how well you do. IE. you can earn up to 50K if you meet your targets.
Most sales related jobs are OTE.
