Ive brought JBJ artwork before , because it was a good one, I paid Ģ6.99 for it , its a print of a drawing and framed. Jonathan Wood (I think thats his name) does a lot of these types of drawings, they are sold on markets + ebay + in shops.

Yeah, I usually go for the larger sized pieces (A2 or larger) for 2 main reasons -

A) They attract a lot more attention
B) It allows you to get a lot more detail on the page that can make an otherwise average picture look 10 times better.

They cost quite a bit more to frame but it's worth it. If you ever came to sell an original which took weeks or months to do, well framed it'd be worth a hell of a lot more. I personally don't like selling the original though because after you've put blood, sweat and tears into a drawing for months upon end, I become somewhat attached to it - 'catch 22' really cos the more a piece could fetch, the harder it is for me to let it go.

well im not sure abou getting more detail..ive seen 3cm by 5cm painting with more detail then anything i seen in an a A2.

i knwo wot u mean about sellign work...but i guess if u are not a full time illustrator, where u are shedding alot of work day by day, it is easier to get attached to something u been working on for motnhs on end...

You can't get more detail into a smaller piece though. Every crease in Jon's leather jacket that's on the 'Early Years' photograph was reproduced as closely as possible in the drawing and I simply could not have paid that much attention to detail if I was only working on a 3x5cm piece. That's what I go for with my drawings though - the kind of realism that comes from a photo in that, if you look closer and closer at each individual patch of skin or fabric, you can actually see that what's in the photograph is represented on this scale too.

It's about the tools available to the craftsman too - and I don't have the tools to produce a piece of equal standard to an A2 drawing on a 3x5cm canvas.

On ebay they sell a painting which looks like the Marilyn Monroe one of Andy Warhol...as I just love this one (actually I like most of Andy Warhols stufff....) I really felt in love with this painting and wanted to buy it...but the postage from the states to Europe is just too high. Itīs actually more then the picture itself So I decided not to buy it But if I ever see it again & it is cheaper Iīll definitively will buy....all other paintings wouldnīt interest me too much

i added two quite average pieces in the fan art. one is a b/w of richie which i coloured in photoshop and alot ppl have seen that already. the other was a big A2 of richie in marker pens which i then contrasted a little in phtoshop but not much....these two pieces i did about two yrs ago?

i dont use much computer work now (thank god), it is more hands on which is how my work best portrays itself. when i get some time ill do more richie/bj in my more current style and mark making...alot of my stuff is done in charcoal and print now.
