old school wrestling still rocks.......bret, owen, hbk, ric flair, ricky steamboat,mr perfect, brian pillman, the current wwe is so terrible.........

as for mania..........
lesnar over angle- match of the night
vince vs hogan - no doubt the main event- vince ego trip- boring
hhh vs booker- booker t if it was down to talent not hhh's booking....
hbk vs y2j.....y2j to get a decent ppv win
rock vs austin - part 146- who cares......i ll guess at austin........

ok late night drivel time:

until the whole nitro vs raw monday night wars started in 1995 and the monthly ppvs, the belts did mean something, then suddenly the companies started changing the titles every week to get people to watch their shows.........
just look at bret hart.........his 1st and 2nd titles reigns were as 6 month plus...but when he won his 4th belt he lost it to sid in one day...........that kinda signifies how much the belt meant at that time.

As much as ill credit vince mcmahon for whats hes done in revolutionising wrestling.....the way the intercontential title was treated was a joke...at one time it was the purest wrestling belt in the world in the days of hbk, bret, perfect, steamboat but my the time they got rid of it last year it had become just as meaningless at the hardcore title

Just out of a matter of interest are then any fans of Old school ecw and wcw/ nwa on here?

You're right there. I think there are too many belts NOW and that the whole RAW Vs Smackdown thing is a load of Shit!! That's the reason why they have the genuine WWE Championship and the newer but definitely not improved World Heavyweight Championship, so they can have a title on each show. The sooner they 'merge' the WWE again, the better.
