XBox is a console as much the others. It has PC technology, but it's def. NOT a PC. If I had to choose one, I'd buy XBox and mod it to use a bigger HD, and upload shitloads of stuff on it. My cousin has one and it rocks! Playing old C64 games on it is a thrill. Plus you can add loads of other stuff as well.

The GameCube is more about gameplay than anything else, and the graphics are good but not the best.
GC has the typical Nintendo gameplay, you either love it or hate it. I personally have never found Nintendo games too good. They're always aimed at younger audiences and the ones that aren't are either bad or indifferent.

The PlayStation 2 is a great console because it has great developer support, so you will find a much wider range of games on it, and it can play DVD's too.
XBox plays DVD's better than PS2. PS2 has a lot of trouble playing DVDs. And PS2 is starting to get old. Even though there's a lot more games for PS2, most of them are utter shite. Plus there's going to be a PS3 soon, so is it worth buying an already old machine?

I say XBox.
