Default Xylitol?

Another random thought in my head...

Any non-Finn ever heard of xylitol?

This is what I mean... Basically no one outside Finland (that I've ever heard) knows about that. We Finns need to market these things, we really do!!! I think the US would be a huge market for this.

Xylitol is basically the greatest invention since the making of fire and the wheel!!! Honestly!

Well I agree, no joke here. Hard to explain what it is. You can find it in chewing gums in Finland, it kind of "washes" your teeth. You just chew the gum and the "washing" happens. It doesn´t replace brushing one´s teeth but you can take one after eating dinner, so then there´s no need to brush your teeth after every meal. Just eat a chewing gum.

Xylitol = Koivusokeri = Birch sugar

So it´s basically taken out of birches.

There are some great Finnish inventions yet to be discovered by Yanks and the rest of the world. Salmiac (Oh man. I´m gonna take those to London. So Good!), rye bread (the best bread available).

Who´s heard of these?

I never heard of it.
I love to try it.

yeah I've heard of xylitol
In chewing gum adds... But I just can't believe that it would work as good as they say it does.

And salmiac - yeah I used to enjoy that as a kid as well. Haven't had it for years though!

Rye bread with cheese - I love it! Or pea soup with rye bread & bacon as topping on the side... that's sooooo Dutch :P

Xylitol gum prevents cavities, protects the teeth, etc. It's sugar-free gum, and it tastes great too (with different flavours). It's very beneficial for your teeth! (Late, we've been brainwashed very efficiently in this regard )

Rye bread is found in other parts of the world, too.

It works. They´ve done SO many recearches in Finland so it must work.

Rye bread with cheese - my favourite too!! Pea soup? That´s so god damn good with it. I used to dip it in the soup.

You really should get into salmiac again. It´s addictive.
