Let me guess. "Essenissä syödään kilokaupalla salmiakkia, Laura"

So tell me, did I get even close?
Close Voisin syödä salmiakkia kilokaupalla is what she said.

What does Essen have to do with it?
Hih. Essen = syödä in German!

Salmiac are sweets in Finland? You can get it as powder over here, in a little cup - and it's called salmiak, so I think it's the same kind of stuff anyway. Lakritze sounds like 'liquorice', which is 'drop' over here.

I actually once heard that Finland (or Scandinavia as a whole) is one of the very few countries (areas) that have the similar kind of liquorice as we have over here. Which is salt (terribly salt in some cases), not sweet... and foreign people hate it... it's always fun to offer non-Dutch people some real Dutch liquorice, the way their faces change because of the taste

We have powder, too but also sweets e.g. Supersalmiakki.

Yes, I think we have the same thing. Liquorice is salty, not sweet. And salmiac too, I think. But we get salmiac in all shapes and forms - powder, soft, hard, we even have salmiac flavoured vodka!

Ok, but you´re still wrong.
What am I wrong about? For not agreeing that liquorice and salmiac are almost the same thing? THEY'RE NOT!!!

In Finland we have three big S's:
Sisu
Sauna
Salmiakki

Salmiakkikossu =

Aijai...I love it! Too bad I can´t go to Alko and buy a bottle, I´m not old enough.

Methinks I´ll test the Britts in London and order some "salmari". How can someone not love it?
