It will probably help him in opinion polls, but I think we're still too far from election day to call it a potentially decisive move.

Ponrauil
Yeah, well.. here's hoping!

Tash
Do half of you realize he flew into a dangerous country and fed the soldiers Thanksgiving Dinner... I find that very admirable. It won't change the way I would vote for him though because Politics are different from the good of the person. Look at him for what he did and not what he is trying to do in the future. Good man Bush!

Ryan
Don't worry Ryan, we're aware of his record as Us pres' in and out of the US. I would worry about his future plans if I were you, but I'm not.

Am I worried? Sorta.. But the US Citizens will decide what is best for our country. Whether or not Bush is in office.

It is so funny though reading about it in the paper today. Some newspapers put a positive spin on it, while others just totally bashed this visit. Actually, most bashed it. Damn liberal media! :P

Yeah but what purpose did it serve Mouse but positive publicity??

If it was about morale boosting, a small percentage of the total army doesn't do a lot.

As I said before, a little is better than nothing.

As for the positive publicity, reading the papers they are already ripping this visit apart. But for the small amount of soldiers it gave a bit of a boost to, I think it was worth it.

I heard this and despite being anti-Bush (as most of you know, to an extreme level) I consider this probably the best thing he's ever done in office. Sure it was a publicity stunt, no doubt about it. But at least he did something nice for someone else, which I doubt has happened many other days out of his 3 years in office. Now if we could just get him to stay there...

Yeah, I mean he'd do great serving meals to US forces, we finally found something he's good at, let's see him make himself useful.

Publicity stunt, nothing more. Nice touch in what is soon to be an election year.
It was a nice touch. I have to give him that.
