I don't think signing your life away for any amount of time is the easy way out. I give them credit for either A. caring about this country or B. wanting to better their life with education.

Plus, the point of my post was not about soldiers complaining (which wasn't stated by anyone) but was a response to davefan saying that they are stupid to sign up.
