When I first saw the pictures of him appearing and the soldiers rising as one, I actually asked myself if was not all fake, because I thought it was impossible that even the soldiers seating in the back could actually see him come in or understand what was happening when the ones in front stood up and cheered... yet they stood up in a blink and cheered just as loud... But ok, I'll buy it for now (Why do I get the feeling I'm going to get aggressive posts for this?)
Even if it's an obvious move for votes, the US troops seemed to very depressed lately and I think that's what he had to do for them as commander in chief. Maybe he could have stayed longer, maybe there were security reasons, I don't know, still must have felt great for the troops.
As much as I don't like him, even if troops might not have been his very first priority, he did his job on that one.
