What a mixture Tash, soon you will pick up some of the Dutch accent
God, I hope not!! Although I can do one when speaking English, sounds like the guy with Harry Enfield when they were doing the Dutch policemen!!

Tash
Ha ha I loved that sketch, you'll have to do that one for me when I see you!!

I didn't know you were originally from the US Dawn. Eventually, all these bits of information add up . I don't know about Mouse but I don't sound like one of the Soprano women - my Mother does though lol. She has a heavy New York/ New Jersey accent. I went to UC Berkeley and lived in San Francisco and Marin County for about 10 years and lost a lot of my Jersey accent. Some came back when I moved back home but it's not heavy. I do have a loud voice though - I work in construction and yell all day - it HAS to be loud to be heard over the equipment working. I also sing and play keyboards with my son's band when I can so a loud voice helps. Unlike Becky - my voice is not soft and feminine at all.

I imagine Jess to have a low french accent, then again maybe its high pitched!

UKJovi, could have a Mitchell brothers Luton accent?

So what do you sound like?

My voice is quite low toned, Ive been told Ive got a sexy voice and a nice tinkling laugh, whatever that means ! Mainly have an english accent, a mixture a little from up north(Ive never noticed it though), and other down south where I used to live . I do have a slight american twang left , cant say certains words in an english accent like world or squirrel. I always say pants instead of trouser, so stuff like this gives my US background away. I havent noticed that I sound like anyone famous.

Dawn
Where in the US Dawn??

As for me, I don't sound anything like the Soprano's either. Some people say I sound like I am from California (although I never been there), others hear a bit of NY and my students this year asked me if I was English. I think the NY only comes out when I am angry.

I don't think I have an accent. Depending on where you live in Canada defines your accent. We have Newfie and east coast accents that are a mixture of french, gaelic and Scottish. People from the east coast can be very difficult to understand, at least IMO.

There are certain words that I pronounce different than Americans. Like roof and foyer. And I've been told I have a powerful voice (when its required).

I would say I have a very strong voice. I took voice lessons for years when I was younger, so I learned how to project my voice. I've been told I have a very good speaking voice. As for my accent...well, it depends. I have a strange combination of Jersey (not too strong, just a very light accent on certain words) mixed with the occassional Southern twang I've picked up from living in Florida.

I have a typical yankee accent, that if you go down to Texas, they automatically know what part of the country you're from! I don't really know how my voice sounds though, I don't like the sound of it I know that. So, I don't record it and analyze it daily! :P
