Well I must not live in Britain then, because my national anthem is most definitely Mae Hen Flad Fy Nhadau.

As for Christos question, I'd probably say Design For Life by the Manics, or something from the Phonics first album - A Thousand Trees, or Local Boy in the photograph.

Yeah, and like it or not God save the queen is the English national anthem. Mae Hen Flad Fy Nhadau, or Land Of My Fathers, for those who don't speak Welsh, is the Welsh national anthem, and therefore that is what I sing when I go to Welsh rugby games.

God Save the Queen. Rule Britannia, Land of Hope and Glory are all British anthems so it doesn't matter wether ur from England, Scotland, Wales or Ulster, they're still British anthems.

God Save The Queen is the English Anthem. Just as the Queen is the Queen of England. I could sing God Save Prince Charles if it'd make you feel better.....

The Queen is the rule of the United Kingdom not just England.

At the olympics they sing God Save the Queen, why because it;'s the United Kingdom team which just so happens to include Wales, Scotland and Ulster participants.

Then why do they sing The Flower of Scotland and Mae Hen Flad Fy Nhadau at Scottish and Welsh internationals and at the commenwealth games?? Why don't they sing God Save the Queen for each of the British countries?? Because it's not their national anthem.

i'm not saying that wales and scotland can';t sing their respective anthems but they are still all part of Britain.

i don't have a problem with people singing flower of scotland, 2 of my mates have particular hard ons for putting across the fact that their scottish and not british one going as far to say as he'd rather be german than english which is just bullshit to me.
