i like all kinds of books and all kinds of author- recently i read "die glut" by sandor marai which is extraordinary- among my faves are nick hornby, thomas harris (i dig hannibal ) from the english writers and from the german my fave is ödön von horvath (the guy with the most famous death in austrian history :P )
but i got a tick no one here can understand here which is that i love epics and old tales- i read the nibelungen lore in the original language (mittelhochdeutsch or middle-high-german which sounds stupid), the edda (for sure not in the original language) and so on- i also plan to do la comedia divina by dante and paradise lost by john milton but i don't know if my english comprehension suffices to do it in englisch...
i also like ovids metamorphosis- i reread the intro rcently and i was quite glad that my edition got a translation- my ex-latin teacher will curse me if she gets to know how much i've forgotten :P :P

Not too fond of poetry, but my favouite writer is Michael Christon.
I mostly read movie novelisations, and some of the best are Jurassic Park, The Lost World and Sphere (all Chricton ones).

My mum and dad used to make up their own stories to tell me before i went to bed when i was little... they should have wrote some of them down because they were very good...

i remember enid blyton!!

My favourite book ever was "The Patchwork Quilt" - it still is...

and Raymond Briggs of course... "The Man"
