Youth Councils

Is anyone else on a Youth Council? I'm on the Chelmsford Youth Council and attending a British Youth Council thing soon.

Just interested to see if anyone else is involved in this kinda stuff.

does anything u propose actually get done?

i always reckoned youth councils were just to make it looked like the government actually cared about what anyone thinks.

I wouldn't say we're really like that. We don't propose things to the government, at least, the Chelmsford Youth Council doesn't anyway. We deal with youth issues on a more local basis. We produced a sexual health leaflet for the local schools, deal in fair trade, and listen to the ideas of local young people.
