Default YouTube Question

I get a lot of buffering with YouTube but someone said there's a way to download the video so it doesn't buffer? Is that true? If so, how do I do that? Thanks!

I've never ever had trouble with buffering on youtube. Are you dialup or broadband? All I can suggest is wait a minute or so by pressing pause and alow the video to load a bit before hitting play.

But yeah, keepvid.com allows you to download youtube videos. You need something like VLC media player to play the files though (its a free download, easy to get)

Yep, and once you have downloaded the file from youtube (i think in .flv format) it is an easy matter to convert it to mp4 for ipod use - google will sort you out in two minutes.

I found this site that converts the video for you:

http://vixy.net

All you need to do is copy in the youtube URL

Sometimes it can take a few attempts to get it to work, otherwise it works great!

Has anyone else tried www.zamzar.com. This has been working pretty good for me.

You can put a button on your browser toolbar. then when you're on YouTube and find something you want to convert just click the toolbar button. A screen comes up and asks you what type of file you want to convert to (mp3, avi, mpg, mp4, etc). You put in your e-mail address and it converts it and e-mails you the link. You have to open the e=mail and download from the link within 24 hours though.
