...rap albums.

Nas' Illmatic is the best. Also NWA and Wu-Tang's debuts.

Lovin' the new Kanye West! Ridiculously pompous and overblown but great.

Suck it homies.

Only rappers i'm really into are Eminem and Kanye West. Agree with you about the new Kanye album, not his best, but still lovin it! Can't decide which of his first 3 albums I like best lol.

As for Eminem, I love The Eminem Show and his new one, Recovery comes a close second!

had an ex maaaany years ago who used to put me through the then painful experience of listening to rap the whole freaking time (so i used to return the favour by making him listen to some great 80's rock *evil grin. a lot of rolling eyes action going on those days...). i listened to nas so much i ended up liking it, this album in particular. it's one of the very few rappers you'll find me listening to. i pretty much like everything the guy puts out.

i like some dr. dre and 2pac stuff as well, but this is probably the genre i'm least familiar with. not sure if "doo-bop" from miles davis fits in this category as there's some weird stuff going on (in a good way ), but that's one of my favourite albuns.

"Straight Outta Compton" by NWA would be one of my favourite all time albums. I love all of the solo stuff by the former NWA members, in particular Eazy-E. I like bits and pieces of rap, mainly the stuff with a heavy feel to it...
You gotta check this out, the "Family Friendly Version of F**k Tha Police". Classic.
