Part 1:

So as you can read through this thread, you can find how I was able to get (eventually) floor tickets the night before the concert. It was pure luck and coinsadence that I was able to go. It was an amazing night.

So I left you guys off at waiting at the floor enterance to green day. I shall continue my tale from there.

So we were let in and well, everyone rushed in. I was by myself, so it was easy for me to just book it to the next station where I went through a metal detector and I got patted down. As soon as I got through, I got a bracelet and then rushed down to the floor. All the standing on the rails were already taken, but as the place was quickly flooding up, I acted quickly and choose a second from the front place halfway down the cat walk. Then it was the waiting game. We got let in at 6:30 and franz fernidan didn't get on till 8, and as I didn't know anyone there it was kind of awkward. I eventually started talking to this (really cute may I add) girl around my age that was there by herself as well (later I found out her dad was there as well, but he just stayed back. So talking to her, we talked about music and I told her that I really liked bands like Bon jovi as well. It really wasn't her cup of tea, but wehad a lot of music that we liked in common like queen, red hit chili peppers and boston.

Anyways I talked to her for about an hour and then franz came on which was pretty good live. They closed their set with a drum solo that all 4 of them participated in.

Then it took about half an hour to set up green days stuff and the drunk bunny came on stage singing YMCA and stupid dance music. 2 minuits after the bunny the place went black and this weird into speach came on (reminded me of the churchills speach at the beggining of an iron maiden concert) and after that, the crackeling beggining of "Song of the century" came on the PA, and then after the opening chords to 21st century breakdown, while the lights were still off. All of the sudden tre cool rand on stage full speed and jumped into the crowd. Then jumped back on stage, waved his arms madly and went on his drumset as the opening drums to the song were played.

As soon as the electric guitar kicked in, billie ran on stage and jumped as high as a rabbit on crack off of one of his amps. This was real green day.

The show kicked in with know your enemy next, bringing several different people on stage. But the next song, east Jesus nowhere, was when you saw the band really start to shine. Only being the third song in, he had brought a ten year old boy named tristain (as can be seen on YouTube) and he almost hypnotized him. Billie whispered something in his ear for a few seconds and then he sang: "a fire burns today..... Will infiltrate Tristain..." and then a set of fire works went off and he fell straight down on his back, and was still for 5 seconds. He then got back up, unharmed, and jumped into the crowd.

It then kicked off into the usual few songs which were all extremely high energy, and it was amazing watching billie joe race up and down the stage and still sing and interact with the audience.

I so can't wait, only 7 weeks now, and counting yay!!!!

I am far too lazy to finish writing the review right now. I have everything still jotted down, so I can write a review later. I just came back from my football game and Im exhausted.... Lost 26-24.... such a close game.... anyway, I think Its time for a little Nimrod to make me even more depressed...

With the third suprise encore, and the whopping 37 songs and Billie doing a perfect cover of Van Helen's "Eruption", this is easily the best gig Green Day have probably ever done. I have bolded all of the "rare" songs

That's an awesome set. Not my personal favorite, but that's simply due to my song preferences.

Wow. Just totally wow.

Absolutely mind blowing live act, undoubtedly one of the best gigs I've ever seen. I've never seen a band of this caliber have so much audience participation as to bring about 10 different people over the course of the gig up on stage to stage dive, be "cured of their sins" and play instruments. Billy Joe is a master entertainer, and actually one of the most commanding frontmen I have ever seen. A 5* gig for sure

Setlist is here: http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/green-...-2bd7d4da.html
