I envy you... I don't know if I would rather seen Bon jovi live or green day again. (with the sounds of the new album, maybe jovi... But the ticket prices?!)

I truly envy the people who are seeing green day in Manchester on the 31st... As quoted by billy joe "the second day is always better than the first"... And the second shows are usually about 20 min longer with usually over 30 songs played. Look at the setlist for the MSG night 2 concert....

Anyway, you should enjoy yourself... As quoted by billy joe a while ago... "be prepared to be blown away.... I'm gunna give Springsteen a run for his money"

A good performance is a good performance, regardless if you know the songs or not. They only play about 5 from American idiot ( usually the title track, are we the waiting, st. Jimmy, Jesus of suburbia, boulevard of brolen dreams and holiday. Some gigs might get wake me up when September ends or give me novocaine) the most excellent performances are actually ones from the new album. If anything, listen to these 3 tracks: (as they are excellent live) east Jesus nowhere, song of the century/21st century breakdown and 21 guns. Anyway, it's without a doubt you will have a great time.

Absolutely mind blowing live act, undoubtedly one of the best gigs I've ever seen. I've never seen a band of this caliber have so much audience participation as to bring about 10 different people over the course of the gig up on stage to stage dive, be "cured of their sins" and play instruments. Billy Joe is a master entertainer, and actually one of the most commanding frontmen I have ever seen. A 5* gig for sure

Setlist is here: http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/green-...-2bd7d4da.html
They're astounding live.

Band came on at 8:15ish went off at 10:45
what can I say? Amazing gig, the band truly were on fire and as Paul said the crowd interaction was amazing, I was about four rows back from the front (bang in the middle) and loved every moment of it, the setlst was pretty good for me! I mentioned before I only really knew American idiot and quite a lot of it was played! 21 guns was fantastic as was 21st century breakdown, cheers for recommending them erik as good as th gig was it won't top the best gig I've been too that was either McCartney in Liverpool or Bruce at Glastonbury but green day definately have a place in the top 10

Glad to see you had a good time. As Paul has said, billie is an amazing frontman. During the gig in las vegas, he brought out a spotlight during the interlude of holiday(like he always does) and shone it across the audience. He shone it apon a group of people sitting in the stands and then yelled at the band to stop playing. He then walked down to the middle of the catwalk, and shown the spotlight at the group of people and was like: "stand the FUC K up! Your at a motherfcking green day concert and your standing this whole damn show, even if I have to come there myself." they then stood up. It was amazing the amount of control this guy has over his audience, and he puts on a spectacle. Anyways, glad to here you had a great time, joe.

The show kicked off about half 8. So we were probably up to Holiday or The Static Age around 9:10. It was an awesome gig and I got to meet Kev, Carli and RichieW for the first time too so it was all good. Green Day are fantastic live, not quite as good as Bruce but not far off. I'll post a review in greater detail later when I've more time.
