I've been thinking about that al night, and I have to say it's absolutely right. However, not in the performance capacity. I saw the band at Giants Stadium in '05, with a 20 song set. I think the root cause of the difference is that on the AI Tour, the band was still in a small venue mindset. Strip away the pyro/fireworks/stage, they were putting on the show that would be done in an 10,000 seat amphitheater. Not that the show was bad, not at all, but the setlist and style were geared towards the type of venues they'd played on the Pop Disaster Tour. Now they seem to really have come into their own as one of the biggest rock bands on the planet.
