Default Alanis Morissette - Everything

I just heard it for the first time and I'm loving it. Great melody, great lyrics. And very like her Unplugged, which I love

Any thoughts / opinions ?

Ooh! That song's great. Her first album is great, but I'm just not into her two others.

I haven't seen the video for this one either, but I do like the song

I was never a huge fan of hers, except the obvious songs, but she was being interviewed on a local station here in Jersey the other day. I have to say that she seemed very down to earth. I almost felt bad for her because she actually seems to have talent as she writes and sings her own songs, but in today's industry you just need big boobs. I hope she does well just to prove a point.

I don't really care for the song. The video isn't that great either. I don't see it getting the airplay on MTV you need these days to become a hit.

Exactly. I don't see the problem.

I don't see her wanting to join the big-boobs club in the music industry. Her music is not like Britney's or Christina's. I'd be very disappointed in her if she was solely doing this for the sake of selling records. As you said, Mouse, she seems very down to earth. I think she's very focused and she wants to make good music even if it doesn't sell all that well. And she seems to have a loyal fanbase too.

I hope Britney&Co won't become the yardstick with which to measure artists

I am an Alanis fan and think exactly in the same way Keeper. I really doubt she'd resource to something like that just to sell more albums...At least, that's what I really hope...Re Everything, I like it but I heard a snippet of another new song (So-called chaos - the new album's name) and it sounds great...Can't wait for May 18th...
