No, it's not a guy thing, more a stupid thing. I'd never buy an album if I didn't actually like the songs.

I've always found Avril pretty hot but bought the first two records because the songs were catchy. I could never claim her music is anything more than stuff I listen to when I just want to sit back and let my brain take a break from thinking. The songs will never be called masterpieces, but they are fun.
