Default ''Between us and Bon Jovi we fuking built that company,''

Frontman Joe Elliott says Def Leppard’s former record label, Universal, should treat the band with more respect because “we built their penthouse sushi bar”.

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."

Good on him for taking a stand. Though that may end up backfiring more than helping I can completely understand his view.

It's true. I was surprised to see that Bon Jovi didn't changed label for this record, considering the poor advertising The Circle and its singles had, and that also there were rumours about they going indie.

Staying on the topic, the re-recordings of Rock of Ages and Pour Some Sugar On Me sound really good!

I knew nothing about this. Universal are such bastards. Really feel for the Lep.

As for the rerecordings, I just listened to Rock of Ages 2012 and it does sound close to the original but I think the difference in production lets it down (only just!)... although that could just be the quality of the youtube video.

They must have had to autotune the shit out of Joe's vocals.

Rock of Ages 2012 -
Cant find Sugar.

Yeah, the production on this two tracks is more noisy. That's something I love from Hysteria, the production is amazing, and the Rock of Ages (2005) remasters + some good speakers = an musical orgasm.

Couldn't find on Goear or YouTube the 2012 version of Pour Some Sugar On Me, but here's the Spotify link: http://open.spotify.com/album/5eJnzLcFCVt0Wcepaj6GiW

as a former universal employee, now consultant once said to me - Jon could shit in a bucket and universal would flog it... and it'd sell. Joe has more reason to be pissed off though, they get far less label attention than jovi... I do suspect this is nothing more than a publicity stunt though from a band trying to monetise their back catalogue.
