...Track producer William Orbit: "I'd like to affirm that...ANY singer when first at the mic at the start of a long session can make a multitude of vocalisations in order to get warmed up...Warming up is essential if you’re a pro, as it is with a runner doing stretches, and it takes a while to do properly. I’ve heard all manner of sounds emitted during warm-ups...A generous singer will put something down the mic to help the engineer get their systems warmed up and at the right level...It’s not expected to be a ‘take.'"
Well, it isn't as though Britney is an "actual" singer.

She once cancelled some tour dates because she hurt her knee and couldn't dance -- an actual singer would have armed herself with a long dress and a high stool and left the dancing to her dancers. And she's said it isn't fair to expect her to sing AND dance so vigorously at the same time.

So stop insulting our intelligence, producer Orbit: both you and Britney know perfectly well that it doesn't matter how she sings as long as there are such things as autotuning and looking good in skimpy clothes!

P.S. The song itself sounds like the result of an unholy alliance between The Cranberries and Adele.

P.P.S. , singing only enough to be in synch with the vocal track that's going out live.
