Awesome version.

It baffles me how Johnny Cash managed to **** it up, it's one of those songs that takes a lot of effort to make sound bad.

Not quite pay day but I thought I'd treat myself to some Bruce threads.

I don't do concert or album t-shirts so this is about as good as it'll get.

Now I need to decide whether to wear this or my ShiteShirt(tm) to the Hyde Park gig.

There's been some nice covers of Bruce songs on Jimmy Fallon this week. It's nice to hear them in a different light. The sound quality and performance of each song has been brilliant.

I loved Kenny Chesney's version of I'm on Fire but I didn't care for John Legend's version of Dancin' in the Dark at all. It took all the teeth out of the song in my opinion and just didn't fit.

Exactly! Didn't like Legend's version at all.

I think you were thrown by the jazziness of it all

I thought Legend somehow made the lyrics stand out a lot, he put emphasis on certain words and gave it a slightly more theatrical feel. The Roots backing was great too, although the little keyboard solo was a bit weird.

Play.com have decided that for some reason they aren't going to accept any of my credit or debit cards (which I've been using to buy books, that t shirt and a bunch of other stuff all week with no issues....) so it looks like I'll be waiting for it unless I cancel the order and pick it up in a shop.
