Probably three of my favourite songs there (Bosswise), I reckon Paradise could nestle in there too as it's a similar sort of song to Devils Arcade (methinks)

This is very nice to know. Occasionally the record buying public surprises me and shows good taste

Of course most of those hard copy sales are probably longtime fans like myself who will always buy the CD.

That speech just makes me love Bruce even more. What a man. He's funny, wise, unassuming, intelligent and just gets "it". I wish he lived at the bottom of my garden. I'd visit him every night and just talk to him for hours.

Agreed Actually Bruce used to be an awkward speaker - he has really gotten more comfortable and confidant through the years.

Sucks to be living in such a small country sometimes. My copy of Wrecking Ball only arrived 2 days ago and I finally got a first listen yesterday. Rocky Ground is an early favorite, great single selection. It's radio-friendly in a good way as opposed to other more folk-ish tunes, which I'm not a huge fan of. Land Of Hopes And Dreams was also a highlight but the impression kinda decreased when I found out this song was written more than 10 years ago and was released in Live in NYC DVD (Which I saw when I was getting to know Bruce and knew very few songs). The production doesn't do it for me. I am not a big fan of Bruce's vocal sound in the last few albums. I just rewatched his great Grammy performance of We Take Care and in the opening verse he sounds much better than on the record. It just seems that during live performances he drops that rasp and sounds more like his old-self from 70s and 80s whereas in 2000s albums he sounds too raspy. However, the album itself is not bad at all and I hope to be loving it after a few more listens, especially when the feedback is mostly positive

My opinion is that Bruce always sounds more alive when performing live then when being heard on his studio-albums. Then again WB comes close to Magic when it comes to production and I think it works pretty well.

Referring to LOHAD; No version beats the one that you can see and hear on the Barcelona-DVD. Though it is still nice to have a studio-version of the song as well. 'American Land' isnt exactly a new song either and was on the American Edition of The Seeger Sessions as well but this one is a slightly other version. I prefer an artist to make 10 good songs (including revamped old ones) then make 14 average one to fill up a CD

I salute you,
TS
