Oh my.
The clue is in the name, general admission, if you want to get to the front you better get there early. This is Sparta man, none of that silly North American sitting rubbish

Also - I plan on bringing a sign for either Hungry Heart or Murder Incorporated. I really don't give a flying two bit piece if they used to be played a lot, or whatever. This will probably be my first and only E Street Band show, so might as well go for it.
Even though its Canada I suspect they would still use the lottery system? You get in the que and you get a wristband with a number and a few hours later there's a draw and that number is the first to enter the floor.

Don't bring a sign for a song that is usually played! (you might get slaughtered). Go for Murder Inc in that case.

I hate it when people do crap like that, first in line should get in first..simples. I'd love to get to a concert first and be like "get your stupid wristband away from me"

Took a greyhound down to Vancouver for the weekend to see Paul McCartney tonight and Bruce tomorrow. it was confirmed in the paper this morning that Bruce flew in a day early to be at the show tonight. Should be good!

It's there to keep people from camping out for days before (some still do) and most of all it keeps standing prices the same. So the front row costs the same as the back of the venue.

It makes the gold circle vibrant too because everyone in there queued for hours and obviously are die hards who are up for it. Gold Circle at Bon Jovi shows are full of people who just paid more and the atmosphere suffers.

You'll be seeing 2 legends in 2 nights time. Enjoy the shows!

I salute you,

Bruce never showed up at the gig, but I don't even care!

Honestly, my expectations were low for a 70 year old mans concert. Holy smokes, I was blown away! He played for pushing on 3 hours and never seamed to take any breaks at all. Fantastic show, something I'm so glad I saw, because I honestly doubt I'll ever have the opportunity to see them again. It was said at the show that the last time Paul McCartney was in Vancouver for a concert was 48 years ago with The Beatles. Paul: "So they say I haven't been here for 48 years.... I don't understand because I'm not even 48 yet!"

I'm just really stoked for tomorrows Bruce show. Apart from Mumford and Sons, I think I've crossed everything off the "still alive and touring" bucket list.

I had such a list as well. No more artists are on it anymore as I seen all I wanted to see or will see them next year.
Good to hear you had a good time. I also enjoyed myself at McCartney's show here in Rotterdam earlier this year.

I salute you,
TS

Just bought Bruce by Peter Carlin.

It's got some great reviews and once I finish my current book I'll be diving right into it.

I picked up Greetings from Asbury Park cheap too :thu:
