Sucks to be living in such a small country sometimes. My copy of Wrecking Ball only arrived 2 days ago and I finally got a first listen yesterday. Rocky Ground is an early favorite, great single selection. It's radio-friendly in a good way as opposed to other more folk-ish tunes, which I'm not a huge fan of. Land Of Hopes And Dreams was also a highlight but the impression kinda decreased when I found out this song was written more than 10 years ago and was released in Live in NYC DVD (Which I saw when I was getting to know Bruce and knew very few songs). The production doesn't do it for me. I am not a big fan of Bruce's vocal sound in the last few albums. I just rewatched his great Grammy performance of We Take Care and in the opening verse he sounds much better than on the record. It just seems that during live performances he drops that rasp and sounds more like his old-self from 70s and 80s whereas in 2000s albums he sounds too raspy. However, the album itself is not bad at all and I hope to be loving it after a few more listens, especially when the feedback is mostly positive
