bryan adams new album

iv noted Joeykids response to it on the other forum, but what do the rest of you guys think? to be honest i didnt like the new single at all, starts of too much like run2u. Then i heard 2 other tracks on radio2 'east end story' and the Dreaming one, and thot they were very good. turns out that these are the only songs worth a listen. but then i got bord after 3 listens, theres really nothing to the songs at all. no substance, i found myself predicting the next lines it was that poor. im sure some ppl will lapp it all up if a middel of the road album is what theyr looking for but i like a bit more to my music thankyou very much. Even Crush and Bounce have their artistic moments, being poppy or whatever you wanna describe them as.
But Byran puts in a good fun rocknroll live show so i guess thats stil in his favour, and i notcied from the other thread that only 3/4 new songs are featuring which is a bonus

I agree that "I Was Only Dreaming" is really good

just listening...

1. eastside story: "good" song... but i don't like the chorus

2. this side of paradise: also not bad but nothing to blow my ears either

3. not romeo not juliet: think i'm gonna get bashed for that- the best song so far... a song for driving in the car ok the bridge is bad.... solo is ok.. funny ending- first surprise on the album (despite the bad chorus on eastside story)

4. flying: beginning ok... bridge soso... chorus ähem... boring? 2nd stanza- thank god mickey starts playing... strings are a good idea but the arrangement is just so-so... what's that? solo-bridge? oh jesus... keith scott- what happened to you?

5. she's a little too good 4 me: the first that came to my mind: roxette! the 2nd: there will never be another tonight; lame stanza- no melody and boring guitars- but i like the chorus- cool bridge- but after it i had put a kick-ass solo instead of the chorus again

6. open road: i'm gonna run to you nothing special... but a decent song

7. title track: would fit avril lavigne more than bryan adams (the knock on the door makes me nervous......)

8. i was only dreaming: think it's intended to be the successor of "c'mon c'mon c'mon" with the different that c'mon... is great and i was only dreaming is nothing special... don't like the russian string arr.

9. right back where i started from: avril lavigne again- but though i like the song- but again such strange guitars... it's a darn pity cause in april keith played like the reincarnation of hendrix

10. nowhere fast: b.a. goes dixie chicks

11. why do you have to be so hard to love: good song for griefing-

Listened to it properly for the first time today, first impression is that its fairly good, far from astounding perhaps, but certainly easy enough on the ear. I Was Only Dreaming seems to be the stand out track of the moment, but there are some other reasonably good ones. Flying, I found myself being able to predict the words, so er, yeah. She's A Little Too Good For Me, it sounds kinda pop-punk to me, does anyone else get that? And is the bonus track Blessing In Disguise a UK only thing, or other markets as well? Either way it really stands out as being completely different to the rest of the album, you've got a CD full of middle-of-the road pop rock, bookended with a 50's style rock n' roll song. Mad

Keep On Rockin'

It lacks good powerful ballads and a few harder rock songs. It all just sounds way too bland with the exception of shes a little too good for me.

Still cant stop listening to this album. Its absolutely fantastic. One of my faves for sure.

It's grown on me a lot these past few days...

I'm a big Bryan Adams fan....but this album is a little too poppy for me.I want to hear arena rock!!
