I have just recently made a huge effort to "get" Coldplay since two of my kids think they are great. Sorry - I can't even say that I hate them. I think they are just blah - who gives a shit and why are you singing about it?

They aren't even offensive which used to be a criteria for hating someone's music. (Believe me I'm aware that this is said about Bon Jovi too). But Bon Jovi's music makes me happy and Coldplay's doesn't - it's as simple as that.
