Default David Bowie

Despite the fact I grew up with his music playing on the radio, I never paid any interest in Bowie's music. Until my son got totally hooked and obsessed with my favorite movie, Labyrinth. He first played the soundtrack on a daily basis and then started to play the best of DVD (because it includes two Labyrinth songs ). And while I was reading a book I heard some of Bowie's best coming by such as Ziggy Stardust and Space Oddity (obviously), but also gems like Suffragette City and Starman. And now I'm totally hooked. And really surprised I have never noticed how great the man actually is. Though I gotta admit I do like his early work the best and I kinda hate his 90s work.

Any other fans? What do you consider Bowie's best album?

60's/70's he was one of the all time greats. Unfortunately from the 80s onwards he just became a bit shit. What's the ****ing deal with Ashes To Ashes? Shit song.

Ziggy Stardust and Low are two of my favourite albums. Great music. It's also good to check out Hunky Dory, "Heroes" and Young Americans.

On a related note, the guitarist from The Spiders From Mars, Mick Ronson is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time. Great guitarist, RIP.

Yep, Mick Ronson is a great guitarist. He isn't a bad singer either. I've listened to an album of his and it seemed pretty good.

I've heard that Bowie is back in the studio in Berlin.

My favourite album is Heathen. Some great songs, Slow Burn, Slip Away, Everyone Says Hi. Great album.

Yeah, I also like his 80s stuff. But I'm just in love with the Ziggy Stardust album.

Got to say i'm a huge Bowie fan especially when i was younger even dyed my hair red and had it spiky to look like ziggy. Hes an amazing performer writer and artist. I haven't been so keen on his later stuff and Tin Machine was a bit lame. Scary Monsters super creeps is one of the best albums followed by diamond dogs but then again i change my mind often as they are all so good.

Yeah, most people don't like his newer stuff because it's different. Which in a way is a good thing because Bowie does it a lot and it does pay off and personally, i love his newer stuff. Heather and Reality i love. Hours was a bit of a let down, but the song "Thursday's Child" is excellent.

I'm not a die hard fan. I enjoy Bowie songs from here and there. Heroes and Thursday's child are my absolute favorite Bowie songs.

And I somehow prefer his 90's works. Outside and Earthling are probably my favorite Bowie albums. I guess I'm in the minority.
