Default The Official Mr. Big threat

So I went to see Mr. Big yesterday with long tall Sebbie and his brother Thunderstrucker. The show was good. Although the amount and length of solo's where ridicolous. Paul Gilbert is an awesome guitar player though.

I've loved this band since 1990. Just them live and they still rock. There are a lot of solos, but that's always been what the band is about.

Aloha !

Yes, was a great evening. Me and Thierry were on the jazz and my brother has learned how to come along with us quiet well.

It was a good show, Daddy, Brother was an awesome opener and they're a very talented band.

I get your point about the solo's being what this band has been all about, but both Billy Sheehan's and Paul Gilbert's solo were technically very impressive, but lacked feeling and became pretty boring as soon as they had done everything they could on a guitar. The three of us merely found it funny and started to crack silly jokes about it, something that surely wasn't the intention of the solo's.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Lean Into It. Or get a compilation like Big, Bigger, Biggest.

Big Bigger Biggest is a good place to start.

Did they play Stay Together?

Yeah, who knew? He has had Parkinsons for a few years now. It must be getting pretty bad if he can't play the drums any more.

The bands "European tour" is a joke though, only 7 shows in 6 countries. Would've loved to see them again.

And the guys are really starting to show their age... I mean, just look at that banner on the site. And that's heavily Photoshopped. :P Eric Martin is finally starting to look like a man instead of a woman...
