Managed to catch Def Leppard (and the 2nd half of Whitesnake) last night. I work in the building next door to Cardiff Motorpoint Arena and didn't finish til 8 o'clock and grabbed a ticket from a tout outside (Cardiff had sold out months ago!). Whitesnake sounded great, although I'm only really familiar with their "hit" albums rather than the more obscure blues stuff. Leppard also sounded great as well. Set list was by-the-numbers as expected. Nothing pre-1983 and only two songs from the new album ("Let's Go" as opener, and "Dangerous"). Having literally finished work moments before walking in to an already warmed up crowd, I wasn't all that ready for the show, plus it wasn't definite that I was even gonna be there, but still a great show. Never had a bad time seeing them.

Thought Def Leppard were pretty good, wouldn't rush to see them again but really enjoyed it.

Whitesnake on the other hand were probably the worst band I've ever seen live - absolutely bloody dreadful.

I'm jealous! You guys get all of Hysteria. I'd love to get Don't Shoot Shotgun and Excitable. We're getting the hits. Joe has made that clear.

I know, plus "Gods of War" which I'm yet to see live. I don't know why it's exclusive to the UK tour.

I got Gods of War on the Adrenalize tour (my first show.) Unfortunately, I had to piss really bad and ran during Viv's solo, which lead into the song. So I missed part of it.

I loved it back then and still love the performance on ITR IYF, but I was a bit underwhelmed by the Viva Hysteria performance in contrast to the rest of the show. Hopefully, it comes across a lot better this time out.

Yeah, it doesn't make sense why they can't just do the same show here. Hopefully, they'll still be doing songs off the last album as I missed any shows promoting it. At least one different classic song that I have yet to hear myself would be nice. I'd shit myself if they did Die Hard the Hunter or Billy's Got a Gun, but I'm not holding my breathe. I suppose there is a chance of Paper Sun since they have done it in recent years, which would make the show for me.

Default Def Leppard - 2015 album & UK tour dates

I know what you mean. The band were on fire when playing “God of War” on ITR,IYF but they were generally during that era compared to now. I’ve seen them 5 times already and besides Download 2011 when they opened up the set list a bit more with more tracks from Pyromania and finishing off with “Wasted”, it’s always been just hits and a few new tracks from whatever album they were touring (Yeah!/SftSL/Mirrorball/DL). Looks like they’re not double-headlining on the UK tour either as Cheap Trick are billed as “special guests”.

The last new song (the only one performed) that I got was Nine Lives. I hate that f**kin song.

Yeah, I think the co-headlining deal is what is responsible for not getting the same show.

So.... did we just quietly get On Through the Night, High N Dry, and Retroactive remastered after all of these years, albeit only in digital audio form?

Yea all the albums have been “Mastered for iTunes”. I checked out Euphoria, X, Yeah! and SftSL to see how the mastering is with those and there appears to be less clipping compared to the CD versions. They’re all still quite compressed-sounding though.
