Both Couchella and Vegas are too rich for my blood. But hopefully this reunion lasts long enough for there to be a proper tour - with more reasonable ticket prices and a new album to tour.

I echo that. This and I hope Axl's in decent shape for this, especially vocally. He still has a few great screams in him when he wants I believe.

Hope they'll tour in Europe the near future too. Can't wait to see this line up. Have been waiting for this since 1993.

I heard a commercial this morning that they are playing in New Orleans on July 31 and briefly entertained the idea of going. It was cut short by the realization that we go back to school so early this year that I will be back to work already by then. What happened to SUMMER VACATION?????

Default Axl Rose se Fractura el Pie Antes del Concierto de esta Noche

Axl Rose Breaks Foot Before Tonight's Show
Following last week's intimate concert at The Troubador in Los Angeles, California, the "reunited" GUNS N' ROSES will be playing their first BIG show tonight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with ALICE IN CHAINS as direct support!

Adding fuel to the drama that always surrounds frontman Axl Rose, he recently broke his foot so bad that doctors had to cut him open in order to put in some plate and screws in order to reattach a badly damaged bone. Consequently, Axl is currently in a cast and cannot put any weight on his foot! So yeah, expect for Axl to either perform while sitting down ala Dave Grohl!

Quote:
TMZ: ..(T)he injury happened when Axl slipped onstage while singing "Mr. Brownstone" during last Friday's Troubadour show...Axl knew something was busted, but toughed it out...

We're told he'll be in a cast for all the Vegas and Coachella shows, but don't expect him to be sitting the whole time...(T)he setlist won't be shortened.
He'd better consider sitting down for the whole time -- or else one addiction to painkillers, coming right up!

His doctor concurs with my diagnosis:

The smart thing for them to do, then, is reschedule everything prior to May 15. It will mean blowing off Coachella, but the alternative is the risk of spending the rest of the tour on painkillers, like some Bon Jovi members we know...

According to TMZ, Axl sang from the throne that Dave Grohl used when he broke his leg. And according to Blabbermouth, they started playing at 11:30PM -- same as it ever was!

Plenty of video on YouTube of the Vegas gigs.
Sounding and looking really good.
As for 11.30pm on stage - big deal - not like they walked off after 30 mins. Full 2 1/2 hour set on both nights, with variation in songs played.
Plus, it's Vegas, so time restrictions not really an issue.

Put it this way, if they come to the UK, they'll have to be on stage by 8pm at the latest.
I'll be buying tickets the moment they go on sale (if there's a UK date or two).
