does anyone else HATE this version of this great song?
and he acts like a boyband popstar in the video

I like the song. I haven't seen the video, as my tv only gets 15 channels (really basic cable, but I can watch Hack, Star Trek and Everwood, so I guess its ok) and neither VH1 or MTV is one of them. Pretty much everything off his "No Stranger To Shame" CD is good, except for the first song. Memphis Soul Song is the best on there. Either that or Thunderhead Hawkins. That one's just funny.

I think it's awful. The original is sooo much better (as is the Bon Jovi version, Maya!) It did redeem itself a bit when Dobie Gray is featured in the video, but otherwise it's a waste.
