Is Yesterday by the Beatles an Overated song??? I personally think it is, they have many great more songs yet this one has been covered a million times.

It's the moodiness of it that's cool, quite few and far between in Beatles songs ... Eleanor Rigby is another good example

I have to side with the classic Carli. I think that one thing that made it that was its difference. As Paul said - the moodiness was very different from the rest of their songs.

I love Yesterday's lyrics and the whole mood of the song. I would have to call it a classic too.

To your list that you consider classics above I would so add Hey Jude. Frieken love that song!

it's like imagine.

justg someone singing and one or two instruments but it's so simple yet the lyric is so poigniant that it transcends just being one man and a piano / acoustic guitar.
