Default Hinder

You know, these guys ain't half bad. I bought their first album, but never paid much attention to it. I saw them a couple times last week opening for Motley Crue, and they were good. I bought their 2nd record, and it's very good. Call me crazy, but if you listen to a song like "Loaded and Alone" or "Last Kiss Goodbye", there is definitely some Bon Jovi influence there.

The lead singer seems like a bit of a douche, but give them a listen.

There's at least half a dozen Hinder threads already by the way.

Yeah, I have a soft spot for them. I think if you litterally want straight up easy listening hard rock and don't expect to much, then Hinder are a good listen. And yeah, quite a bit of Bon Jovi influences in there. They've covered Bed Of Roses acoustically, and the opening riff to Loaded And Alone is ripped off from You Give Love A Bad Name. Plus they sometimes opened their gigs with Pink Flamingos (the intro to Let It Rock).

The lead singer's voice can be very overbearing at times, mind.

First album, Extreme Behaviour, was decent but to ballad-heavily (despite the album title). Though Lips On An Angel was probably one of the best ballads I'd heard in a long time then.

Second album, Take It To The Limit, is much rockier and has more stadium-influenced numbers, though is generally more of the same. It's had terrible reviews mind, lol. Some versions have a great cover of AC/DC's Thunderstruck.

I must be blind. I see 3 pages on this section of the board, and nothing on Hinder.

yeahp, I like 'em. good live band too, though they do tend to use the same riff on a lot of songs on the last album.

Oh I am obsessed with Hinder! Seeing them headline April 20th and cannot wait!! I've seen them twice already and they rock and definitely have Jovi influences in them!!

Download the two tracks off itunes that didn't make the album Heartless and One Night Stand they are awesome!!!

The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

Hinder is a solid enough band, two good albums under their belt. I prefer the first album; Homecoming Queen is a great track, guitar reminds me of sweet child o' mine.

In addition to assisting Hinder with their cds, Brian Howes also assisted a band called Skillet with their cd entitled comatose. I like it even more than Hinder's out put. Below some tracks from Skillet's comatose record.

Extreme Behaviour is quite bland, even though it has a couple of great tracks (like the already mentioned Homecoming Queen and Lips Of An Angel). Take It To The Limit, on the other hand, is one of the best albums of this decade, in my humble opinion. I was floored the first time I heard it.

Just the way he comes off in concert. Arrogant. I thought it was just me, but a buddy of mine said the same thing after their set.
