Default Aerosmith + ZZ top tour /album

Aerosmith are promising a "kick-a*s" tour.

The 'Crazy' hitmakers are set to go on the road with veterans ZZ Top this summer and admit they can't wait to perform with the rockers.

Guitarist Rick Perry said: "That's just amazing to be able to play with them because it's going to be a kick-a*s show."

The group have been working on a new album for three years but have been stricken by medical problems - including singer Steven Tyler suffering a bout of pneumonia and Rick undergoing knee surgery - which has caused several delays, pushing back the release and are now hopeful to complete it when they finish touring.

Rick added: "The time we had allotted to make this record, we couldn't do it. But it's a work in progress and we're gonna shoot for it when we finish with this tour."

I'd love to see Aerosmith, honestly I would, but:

1. I doubt they'll visit England
2. I hate ZZ Top
3. ZZ Top are a band I hate

PS: Nice way to put off making the new record, Aerosmith, real crafty.

Yeah they won't come to England. I would pay to see ZZ Top if it meant seeing Aerosmith TBH. Would really love to see them.

Last time I heard from them they said they would finish the album BEFORE the tour... those were the days when you did get a quality album from your favourite band every year or every second... now these major delays, and then disappointing releases... Still, looking forward to it! And hopefully a European tour!

Aloha !

This is another one of those co-headlining tours with 2 bands playing for 80 minutes and ticket prices that'll go thru the roof. Aerosmith (Steven Tyler) is no longer capable or willing to do those 2 hour shows they used to do and with these tours they can pretend that their show length couldn't be any longer because of the other act, in this case ZZ Top, needed their time too.

This tour also won't make it to Europe. Joe Perry hinted that the band would be back within a year after the last European Tour back in 2007 but it won't happen. Maybe in 2010/2011 but I don't think anytime soon.

Aerosmith has said that shitloads of times that they intended to finish the album before the tour but then "all of a sudden there was a tour booked" and they couldn't finish the album. Apart from the medical excuses this band just doesn't really care that much about making a new album.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
