Iron Maiden are amazing. You don't have to worry!

And the album will be great. I hope so at least because BRAVE NEW WORLD kicked ass...one of the best maiden albums.

It came out 2000 and it had NO modern rock influences. It was pure maiden and i don't think any other big rock band could do that!

I got the album today.

Only heard it the once so far... Drew the curtains, turned off the lights, put on the phones and cranked up the volume.

You put it on and you know you're listening to a Maiden album. It's well worth getting, some great stuff on it.

At times it almost feels like they're churning out the same old stuff, and there are a couple of tracks that although they do rock, they're a little bit lifeless. However, I'd say there are two, possiably three tracks which can be considered amongst the best Maiden have ever done... I was sat there, just really enjoying the album, untill track 3 (can't remember the title) blew my head off!!!!!

I need to listen to it quite a bit more before coming to a real judgement, although from one listen, I'd say it's probably better than Brave New World, as although BNW was just great from start to finish, I'd say Dance of Death has a couple of tracks which are better than anything on BNW.

In short, the album means I'll probably be phoning box offices up in the next couple of weeks and trying to work out just how much more doing Birmingham or Sheffield will be

Iron Maiden are one of the few bands who can still produce absolutley top quality rock albums.... i.e able to produce albums today that are as good as they were doing at their peak!

Thanks for the review. I'll buy it as soon as i can.Tell me if you consider it better than BNW after listening more to it. If it's better than you can't describe it

I only hope they won't tour with Metallica since Steve Harris said in an Australian Rock magazine he wants to and they will probably do it.
But Bruce and Hetfield hate each other so there are good chances this tour will never happen.

I'll be seeing them in Notts in December.

Bought the album today - Its Maidne, nothing more, nothing less. Hardly ground breaking - nothing so far to match the Maiden greats, but a good solid bit of Maiden. Quite similar to Brave new world - some of the songs are very similar.
