Interesting tidbit - I remember reading a couple of times that the song "I Saw Red" was apparently based on Jani Lane walking in on his then partner, Bekka Bramlett, in bed with Mr Richie Sambora...RIP Jani.

It's true regarding the song. Richie and Bekka dated and she sang background vocals on Richie's first solo CD.
When I heard about his death the other day, I was shocked. As others have said, he was very underrated and I think Cherry Pie hurt the band, more than it helped them.
