Default John Shanks producing new Van Halen

Looks like John Shanks is going to be producing the new Van Halen album...

I have been looking forward to this album for a while now (although I have always preferred Sammy Hagar as a vocalist to DLR), but am now kinda bummed that Shanks is producing...

I don't know why but I feel this is going to be worse than "Van Halen III"

John Shanks sucks, bring back Ted Templeman.

Best regards,

These days I prefer Sammy too. He is still an excellent frontman and vocalist. I last saw him with Chickenfoot and really enjoyed the show.

Never been such a fan of DLR, don't know why. When it comes to VH, Sammy Hagar is my man! So, looking forward to this with mixed feelings. Maybe John Shanks will give them a cleaner sound, some of their stuff sounded too trahsy, e.g. those new tracks on "Best Of Both Worlds".

At this point I have serious doubts if Eddie still has it in him.
Shanks isn't gonna help any.

Such a shame, this used to be my favorite band.

Van Halen and John Shanks are both very talented, but I don't know how the combination of them will work. It COULD end up working very well, but it could also go in the other direction...
