Justice has been done.

Innocent until proven guilty.

Now please leave this man in peace!

Nothing more to say.

I think the 'beyond reasonable doubt' also stands for murder. Ie. OJ Simpson... 'nuff said.

there's a vast difference between not guilty and innocent.

I dunno about the US Maria but here for cases involving murder the level of proof is higher than beyond all reasonable doubt. i can't remember the exact standard. I didn't follow the OJ case so I couldn't really comment.

I really don't know what to make of all this. On one hand I've always thought the parents were out to get some money and attention but on the other I really do think there's something behind it all. I find it very weird that he's been cleared of *all* charges. I didn't think he'd be found guilty of the major ones but I was expectiing they'd charge him wth some minor one.

... Of course had he been a nobody he would have been guilty of all charges

It's beyond reasonable doubt in murder as well. I'm pretty positive of this.... beyond reasonable doubt one might say

And quite rightly so in my opinion. You can't sentence someone to a life imprisonment because you think he's 'probably' guilty ... an opinion that will have no doubt been helped along by media claims etc.

I find the 'getting over it' part rather offensive.
