That's the exact same setlist I got about 6 months ago Erik, I think. Only difference I can see is that we got School's Out reprise at the end.

I saw The Allman Brothers Band two weeks ago. I must have been the youngest one in the audience.

Went and saw the Wilson sisters playing as Heart last night. Both my husband and I have been fans since about 1976. Having heard Ann a few years ago sounding less than herself I didn't have many expectations.

The show blew me out of the water - Ann must have upped her game vocally and she sounds (if possible) even better live than the recorded albums. She was just superb. These are women who rock - hard - but are not afraid to sing soft acoustic music either. Each sister plays multiple instruments and both sing. Nancy has an excellent voice herself - unless she is compared to her sister who is untouchable. Keep in mind that these women are almost 60 and what they do is astonishing. Jon should really be ashamed of himself for his lack of vocals compared to what he used to do. These women still do it from albums that were popular in 1976.

They have been doing Led Zeppelin covers since John Paul Jones was their producer after the demise of Zeppelin and last night was no exception. Since their teacher was one of the original Zeppelin members they do an awesome job on those covers and Ann's voice just lends itself to that material.

One highlight was Alone - a gorgeous acoustic song from their Bad Animals album that just builds and builds into a power ballad.

The set finished with Love Reign O'er me (a Who cover) which just blew everyone out the doors.

My advice - run don't walk to get a ticket if you can.

Amy Macdonald at the Hard Rock Cafe in London about two months ago. My friend and I won tickets through Q Magazine, the entire audience was made up of competition winners which was kind of cool A really great show, she played around half of the songs acoustic which really blew me away- its taken me a while to really get into her new album but some songs from it (Spark, Love Love) sounded much better with just her and the guitar and sparse backing. Spark in particular sounded just magical, it actually brought tears to my eyes. It was great to see her again in such an intimate and small venue, brought back memories of when her first album came out and you could go and see her in the teeny shitholes of Aberdeen for a fiver. Overall, was well worth the 14 hours spent on a train and made me fall back in love with her music

...after the gig, my friend and I molested some elephants and a dalek. But that's another story

Forgot about this thread.

Bon Jovi like 3 weeks ago! With my best mate, his first ever gig.

I won't post details here, because they'll be posted in my upcoming review over in the Bon Jovi live section.

There are some kickass photos that I'm dying to not show anybody due to embarassment.

A couple of Aussie bands with their roots in the 80s: 1927 and Wa Wa Nee.

Tossing up whether or not to get tix to Concrete Blonde when they come down here.
