Oh, and there was this guy with a banner that said 'Bono let me play Party Girl' and he ended up next to The Edge with an acoustic guitar and they performed Party Girl...

That's cool. Did you stay in Munich? Did you have seats and where were they? Olympiastadion? I've never been there - only the Olympiahalle (BJ in 89 or so) - do you know how many that seats?

I intended to stay there from Sunday till Thursday (with the gig being on Wednesday) but things changed and I went there with my new girlfriend. We drove back home the same night and arrived 4.30 a.m.

Yes, Olympiastadion. No seats, I've always been on the infield.
We stood a little in front of the left FOH in the following picture.
I link it because it's too big in its dimensions.

I've been to Shania Twain in the Olympiahalle last year and if I remember right the press said 13,500 people.

Last one was Bruce Springsteen in Hamburg. Next will be 3 times Southside Johnny & Asbury Jukes at the Jersey Shore.

I presume it was the acoustic set? How was that? I'll see him this week.

Thanks Danilo.

I always thought the stadion seats more than the halle. Weird.

Apparently the halle seats less than our key arena in seattle, and I always thought the olympiahalle was a lot bigger. Funny, how once you are all grown up the whole world seems to shrink - you think back and everything was bigger and better, even if it wasn't.

Off topic: Do you know of a site that would have all the soccer games for the worldcup next year and do you know if there is still a chance of scoring tickets? I might come home for that

Yes it was. It was veery different to other shows. We got a sheet of paper in the beginning on that stood what is allowed and what not. I never ever experienced a concert where the audience was as quiet, you could hear a needle fall on the floor. He didn't want the audience to clap with the songs for example. I liked it even though I like rock shows more of course. But it was a nice experience. And it is amazing how one single man with just a guitar and a harmonica can reach a complete arena of 14.000 people. We sat quite far from the stage on the 2nd balcony nearly under the roof but he really reached everyone.
